All pre-1960 cars are now exempted from the requirement to have an annual MOT test. However it is strongly advised that members check with their Insurers that their policies will be unaffected and we recommend that members continue with either a voluntary annual MOT or a suitable annual Engineers Report. An MOT test will remain necessary on first registration of an import, obtaining an age related mark, transfer of marks, re-licencing from unlicenced etc. These requirements are for protection against fraud.
