It is rare for us to cover the death of a non-Member, but David Dudley gave our members with Silver Ghosts exceptional service and also helped build good relationships between our club and the RREC With John Kennedy he organised and ran that most wonderful of events, the 1993 Alpine Trial and then followed this up by organising the 1997 Scottish Trial with Harry Watson. Both were attended by exceptional numbers of members from around the World. Although never owning a Silver Ghost, he edited the RREC's Silver Ghost Register magazine on a shoestring for 20 years, persuading members of both clubs to write interesting articles, particularly on technical matters.
