Centenary of the 1911 Prince Henry Tour

The Centenary of the 1911 Prince Henry Tour, Beaulieu to Edinburgh to Brooklands via The Lake District and Snowdonia National Park, plus visiting various Country Houses. 14 days including excursions and stop overs. Approximately 1250 miles in total ended with the Annual Club Concours at Brooklands, followed by a Gala Dinner at the RAC Club Woodcote Park, Epsom. Waved off from Bucklers Hard by Lord Montague we travelled stunning back roads and en route visted some wonderful country houses, Ditchley Park which had been one of the 1911 points of call, Compton Verney, Calke Abbey, Kedleston Hall, Fountains Abbey, the home of our now retired President Lord elgin at Broomhall, Levens Hall, The Hendre the home of Charles Rolls’ family, Badminton House, and finally Brooklands. We stayed at marvellous hotels, including Ston Easton Park and Cliveden to name but two.A triumphant tour with no major mechanical problems.
