We held our annual lunch and concours at an Hotel in the Cotswolds preceded by a tour around Stratford-on-Avon and the option to enjoy a play at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, ‘A Comedy of Errors’ on the Friday evening or ‘Twelfth Night’ on the Saturday. On Friday members explored Stratford-on-Avon, including Shakespeare’s Birthplace, his tomb in Trinity Church, and Anne Hathaway’s cottage, while Saturday was spent touring the rural delights of Warwickshire and Gloucestershire in glorious soft Autumn sunshine. There can be nothing better than gently driving through stunningly pretty Cotswolds villages and small winding lanes on one’s way to explore a beautiful stately home, with the roof down, in sunshine and in the company of good friends!
