Sept 22, 2018, a Day’s visit to Croft Castle (NT), Herefordshire, – Ashley Carmichael, ashley@aacarmichael.co.uk
Please note: This event is on the date above, as in the Flyer in the latest News & Record, not the date on the back cover.
The Club organises One Day events in various parts of the country to encourage members who live locally to be given an opportunity to drive their cars and have an enjoyable day out with the family. The Club have been invited by the National Trust at Croft Castle to display some of our cars, when we will be allocated a suitable parking area close to the main building.
The Grounds at Croft and the Tea rooms open at 10am with the Castle opening at 11am. As we will need to arrange our cars may I suggest that those wishing to display their vehicles should arrive soon after 10am so that our cars are all lined up by 11am. As 2018 is a significant year in anniversary terms, Croft Castle will be commemorating the end of the First World War and also the Representation of the People Act which granted certain women the right to vote. They will be celebrating this important milestone by sharing stories of Croft women through objects and paintings in the collection.
